GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR SUPPLY OF SERVICES
Translations
Sworn and legalised translations:
Legal translation fee + fixed charge for sworn statement and/or
legalisation + cost of revenue stamps and governmental duty.
Basis of fee calculation:
- per word
- per line: approximately 55 taps/characters
- Per sheet: 1 typed page of 25 standard lines
Fees are for each language separately and the minimum charge is 1 sheet.
Other Linguistic Services
Voiceovers:
per hour (minimum 2 hours)
Revision of texts already translated:
- per hour, or
- 60% of the translation cost
Proofreading:
Special Pagination:
International Secretarial Service:
- per hour
- on the customers premises or at the Centre = negotiation
interpreting service
Transcription from audiocassette:
- per 60 cassette (Italian)
- per 60 cassette (foreign languages)
Business address and conference phone calls (receive faxes, mail, three-way
calls with customers):
- fee for each individual service
- monthly fee (to be agreed on)
INTERPRETING
SERVICE
Negotiation (the most common)
Negotiation (the most common):Carried out in the presence of
the parties concerned. The interpreter listens and translates
piece by piece. The fee is usually on a half-day or full-day basis.
In some cases, for services carried out near our headquarters,
we can also offer an hourly rate of less than a half-day (min.
2 hours). The maximum working day is 8 hours (supplementary charge
for overtime). Working time is calculated from the moment of the
interpreters departure to his/her return.
Consecutive:
Carried out in the physical presence of those concerned. The
interpreter listens and takes notes, subsequently translating
for the listeners. 1 interpreter is required for each target language.
The service of only 1 interpreter for two languages (cross) is
permissible only for 4 hours. The working day is 7 hours and cannot
be split.
Simultaneous:
Carried out in a specially equipped cabin. 2 interpreters are required for
each language. A single interpreter can work only for 1 hour.
The working day is 7 hours and cannot be split.
Chuchotage:
Simultaneous translation whispered to the listener without the aid of equipment.
Two interpreters are required for a full working day. One interpreter
alone cannot work for more than 2 hours. The working day is 7
hours and cannot be split.
Briefing day:
A day requested by the customer for interpreter updating.
Manque à gagner:
Remuneration due to interpreters for any days necessary for travelling
to the workplace.
CANCELLATIONS
Translations:
for translations already begun, payment is due
for work completed at the moment of cancellation.
Interpreting:
for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice there is a minimum invoiced
charge of 2 hours.
